Episode 2 with Peter Philippson
ON HOW TO ACcESS YOUR FULL POTENTIAL THROUGH A GESTALT WAY OF BEING!
“We need to hold what IS to be human.”
In this episode I am talking to Peter Philippson and I am delighted by the breadth of his knowledge and compassion for the human animal. We are exploring what is gestalt therapy, what therapy does at its best, how to get into an unfamiliar dance with others and transform in creative ways.
Peter Philippson is a UKCP Registered Gestalt psychotherapist and trainer, a Teaching and Supervising Member of the Gestalt Psychotherapy & Training Institute UK, a founder member of Manchester Gestalt Centre, Full Member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, and a guest trainer for many training programmes internationally. He has been working as a psychotherapist for 33 years. Peter is the author of “Self in Relation”, “The Emergent Self” , “Gestalt Therapy: Roots and Branches”, and many other chapters and articles. He is a teacher (4th dan) and student of traditional Aikido. If you want to connect with him you can find his email and incredible lectures on the Manchester Gestalt centre web page https://www.mgc.org.uk/events/categories/webinars/ .
His books of assays on Gestalt therapy, shame, rationality and more are true perspective twisters and I warmly recommend jumping into some of them.
